The ‘Learning Technologies: Design for Impact’ programme is a £1.1m competition to stimulate innovation in education technology used for learning. The team is seeking project ideas that will enable learners and educators to contribute to the design of learning technology products and services, helping to ensure that new products meet the real-world challenges faced in learning environments. The funding competition will support affordable, easy to use, commercially viable products that can be delivered at scale.
The Technology Strategy Board will fund proposals of up to £80,000 for design studies lasting up to six months, aimed at students from Key Stage 1, through to adult learners. This includes people and organisations working in all education and learning sectors including primary, secondary, further education, higher education, special educational needs and disabilities, private learning, practical, technical and vocational learning, work-based learning, training and informal learning.For more info about the competition please visit: http://ow.ly/vq8q7
A series of knowledge sharing and partner finding workshops are being held between to highlight the challenges and opportunities specific to the design, adoption and implementation of digital technologies in the education sector used for learning and teaching.
