Global Entrepreneurship Week will take place from 18-24 November, when schools across the country will become hotbeds of entrepreneurial activity. Hundreds of events hosted by UK education institutions are already in the diary for the Week, which spans 130 countries and will involve around 7.5 million people.
For 2013, the Week – run in the UK by Youth Business International - will encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to ‘take a step forward’ towards start up success. Every school in the country is being called upon to run an enterprise event or do something enterprising during the month of November. The education sector is hugely involved in the Week, with a wide range of events taking place across the country, involving over 50,000 people. In Dorking, students will work in community teams to create a sustainable island with shelter, industry trade links and a national anthem, while the Link School of English, in West London will host English conversation workshops to improve aspiring entrepreneurs’ language skills.
A range of free resources has been created for schools.
