Albion Collective, an online bass music community and blog, and Youth Music, a charity helping youngsters through hardship with amazing music projects, have a fantastic new partnership with the release of a 38 track bass music compilation.
The Urban Archives compilation contains music from producers all over the planet, with a focus on deep, ambient and intelligent sounds from the bass music spectrum, with dubstep being the main theme, but displayed in many forms. Spencer from AC has described the album as; ‘an underground vault of gritty productions, with a wide scope of vibes and genres, from grimey off-beat electronic beats to ambient 140bpm chillers, representing everything we support at Albion, with tracks from newcomers and established artists alike’. Each artist on the album has has generously given their work away to help raise money for the charity. Albion Collective owners planned for the release to be free, and it is, but now they have made it possible for the public to buy the collection, at a name your own price basis, through their bandcamp page.
Albion Collective are gaining the support of the big websites in their field at the moment, with their features coming thick and fast on FatKidOnFire.com and Deeper Vibrations, so be sure to keep an eye out for this release, and a small donation to a respected charity in exchange for an enormous amount of music sounds like good deal all round.
